I'm Yuka, I'm 22 and I live in the UK! I'm a cosplayer, and this year I have the honor of being part of Team UK for World Cosplay Summit 2013! Last year I was also part of the 2012 UK Team for European Cosplay Gathering. I might post some progress pictures here, but most of it will be over on facebook, so pop over there if you're interested in seeing more!

I mostly post about cosplay (surprise), video games, movies and music that I like, and about funny conversations I have or things that happen to me. Things that I often post about include: Final Fantasy, League of Legends, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Sailor Moon, Firefly and Scott Pilgrim.

I wore this at the beginning of the year with Leolarua to enter the European Cosplay Gathering UK preliminaries at Hyper Japan- and we won! This sparked a crazy cosplay making adventure that would last the next half of the year :O This photo is from a private shoot I did in June with my Final Fantasy XIII group- we got rained out but we still managed to get a few nice photos!

How did you make your Damara/Handmaid horns? They have such a good shape were they very durable?

They are fairly durable! I have zero spatial perception so I walk into walls a lot normally (sob I am always covered in bruises) so I know from first hand experience that they can take light whacks into walls and door frames without denting. Over time they have cracked a little bit in a few places, I’m not sure if this is because I stored them in a hot/dry area, or if the fimo was just thin in those areas or if the base structure was just too flexible.

If I were to remake these, I would use a sturdier base than just the thin armature wire, and a thicker layer of fimo (probably 3 or 4 packs instead of just 2).
